LOTD & Review: Brigitte Romantic Eyes GD-1

A simple eye makeup with Brigitte Romantic Eyes, using the palette GD-1 which stands for Gold shade. I love GOLDDDdddd~ $_$ (lolx~)

This pic was taken quite sometime back (before I had my orange hair ends cut...) so I forgotten what I used as base, blush, lips... shall I just move on to talking about the eyeshadow? lolx~
Right, let's go!

I had blogged about this palette before but had not reviewed it. In this post I will do a full review of the eyeshadow.

Swatch
The shades doesn't look gold-ish, but all of the shades have gold shimmers in it except for the pearl white.
I shall name these 4 shades as: Pearl White, Light Gold, Bronze, Dark Brown for easier explanation on my LOTD.

I applied using the dark brown along the upper lashline, the bronze above it and then the light gold above the other 2 shades, lastly using pearl white near brow bone area. Thereafter I blend them with a blending brush to remove obvious lines in between the shades.

For the lower lashline, I used pearl white at inner corner and bronze for the outer corner. I also brushed on a little pearl white at tear duct area (near the nose) to brighten my eyes and to add dimension to it.
Under cool lighting, this eyeshadow look like woody colour than bronze or gold.

But when under the sun or indoor daylight, light can be seen reflecting off from the gold shimmers.
I took these pictures after a day's out and the eyeshadows are still intact. They still look fresh with no smudges, creases or fall-outs.
Oh yah, I used NARS Smudge-proof eyeshadow base before applying the eyeshadow. It keeps most of my eyeshadows intact for whole day, prevent creasing and prevent my eyelids from becoming oily (which is mostly the main reason for creases & smudges). I'm glad I invested in a good eye base so I can work with every kind of eyeshadow there is with no problems. ^_^

Brigitte eyeshadow palettes are mostly woody brown base with a tint of gold/pink/red/ash colour. See all shades HERE. They are not glittery, feels smooth and easy to apply. The colours show up quite easily on my skin as they are pretty pigmented. All the shades in the palette have satin finish. If you like shades that are earthly with less or no glittering effects, you definitely should try out Brigitte eyeshadows.
